Kansas City Star Letters: Electricity rate increase
Posted on Jun 27, 2010 in News
I wonder whether the Kansas City Power & Light Co. will be laying off any of its employees because the company needs money so badly. KCP&L workers make better than average salaries while the rest of us are struggling to pay our high utility bills now. (6/5, A1, “KCP&L seeks 14% rate hike in Missouri”) I hope KCP&L’s electric rate increase request is rejected. I also hope that the customers will rise up in protest against these unnecessary charges. It’s awful being a captive audience. But as usual, as long as KCP&L’s nest is feathered , it doesn’t give a big hoot about the ones who are feathering those nests.
